Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 7 from the Belah Methodist Church with the Rev. C. R. McNelly and the Rev. J. C. Rousseaux officiating. Burial followed in the Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Smith of Pineville; three sons, S. J. Miller of Monroe, Hairl Dean Miller, U. S. Army in Germany; Jerry John Miller of Alexandria; two brothers, Millard P. Nichols of Newellton and James H. Nichols of El Paso, Texas; two stepbrothers, John and Dalton Smith of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. P. A. Clarence Williams of Winnsboro and Mrs. Vivian Bayer of Louisville, Ky. Pallbearers were Johnny Nichols, Cloyd Hardy, Les Ford, Lloyd Williams, Earl Williams, and Vernon McManus.
