Minard Called by Death at Monroe Sunday Afternoon H. P. Minard, 61, of Standard, superintendent for many years of the Louisiana Central Lumber company there, died at 3:20 Sunday afternoon at a Monroe hospital, where he underwent an operation on Thursday. The funeral was held at 4 p. m. Monday at Peters Funeral Chapel and interment was in Riverview Burial Park, Monroe. Mr. Minard was well known in northeast Louisiana, where he had a host of friends. He was born in 1874 in Emporium, Pa., and about 1900 went to work for the Missouri Lumber and Mining Company at Grandin, Mo. From there, about 1909, he went to Clarks, La., where he remained 10 years. He was then assigned to the management of the mill of the Louisiana Central Lumber Company at Standard. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Daisy Minard, one daughter and three sons: Mrs. M. M. Meredith, Ronald Minard, Houston, Texas; R. L. Minard, Standard, La., and Marshall Minard, New Orleans. The active pallbearers wee Elmer Slagle, R. E. Prestridge, Roy Cooper, B. E. Zeagler, A. W. Johnson, and C. B. White. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. J. Q. Graves, W. H. Thompson, M. C. Thompson, W. H. Faulk, Dr. S. H. Holloman, Jim Monk, John Webb, J. W. Clarkson, Dr. P. H. Mecum, and John Edward Godfrey. The deceased was a past master of the Olla Masonic Lodge
