Mallette Dies at Jena Hosp. After Illness Mr. John Flanders Mallette, 72, of Nebo, died last week at Jena Hospital. Mr. Mallette died at 4:10 pm Tuesday. He had been employed as a civil engineer and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a member of Michael Dempsey Lodge No. 327 F&AM and was a World War I Veteran. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10:00 am at Nebo Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Neal officiating. Burial was at Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home, Jena. Survivors are his wife, Thelma Mallette; two brothers, Ellis and Steve, both of Savannah, Ga.; and four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Camp, Mrs. Clara Settler, and Mrs. Bertha Hester, all of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Susie Marsh of Springfield, Ga.
