Headline:  David Murrell, 34, of Dry Prong Passes Away Monday, December 5

David Murrell, age 34 years, passed away at his home at Dry Prong, on Monday, 
December 5, after an illness of short duration.  Mr. Murrell was born and 
reared in the vicinity of Dry Prong and was well and favorably known in 
LaSalle Parish.

Mr. Murrell was a member of the Baptist Church at Dry Prong and was an 
outstanding citizen of his community.  He is survived by his wife and two 
daughters.  The daughters are:  Misses Veldra and Marie Murrell; also three 
brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ellis Barker, of Forest Hill with 
interment in Coleman Cemetery at Dry prong, under the direction of Riser and 
Upshaw Funeral Home at Jena.
