Mrs. Mims had reached the ripe age of 90. Funeral services were conducted at the Minden Methodist Church with Dean R. E. Smith of Shreveport and the Rev. N. B. Joyner officiating. Burial was in the Minden Cemetery. Surviving are four daughters, Dr. Mary Mims of Baton Rouge, Lela Mims of Minden, Mrs. Waltice Scott of Grand Cane, Mrs. W. B. Allums of Shreveport, three sons, H. B. Mims of Flint, Mich., Sam Mims of Baton Rouge, Dr. D. D. Mims, Minden, a brother, E. L. Stewart of Minden, two sisters, Mrs. B. L. Herring and Mrs. Charles Parker of Shreveport.
