He had been in ill health for a long time, and the news that his condition had spread to all sections of the parish where regret was expressed at his suffering. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. L. D. Posey of the Jena Baptist Church and interment was made in Wilbanks Cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow and three sons, Washington, Isaac and Marion Masters; and three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Williamson, Mrs. Becky Williamson, Mrs. Ory Poole and Miss Leona Masters. (NOTE: Obituary stated "three daughters", but listed four just as typed.)
