He was employed as a roustabout with Nabors Drilling Company and was a member of the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Revs. Rodney Begnaud and Glenn Lowery officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson under direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. Survivors include his father and stepmother, C. A. and Mary Mills of Columbia; his mother and stepfather, Betty Ann and Jim Gaboury of Deer Park, Texas; one half-brother, Clay King of Gonzales; two stepbrothers, Shannon Talbert and Chad Callender, both of Columbia; one sister, Janell Mills of Deer Park, Texas; and his grandparents, Lucille Crain of Delhi and Clifford A. and Carol Dean mills of Georgetown. Pallbearers were Dewayne Dupree, Nathan Perot, Mike Washer, David Crain, Everette Ramsey, and Dewayne Dunn. '
