Miller, 84, of Jonesville, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Ferriday. He was a retired custodian for Jonesville Elementary School, a member of Good Roads Pentecostal Church and a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army and participated in the Battle of Casserine in North Africa. Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 28, at Good Roads Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Bryan Taylor, Mickey Hudnall, amd Steve Cleoenger officiating. Interment followed in Heard cemetery of Manifest under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville. Survivors include his wife, Ioma Miller of Jonesville; two daughters, Renee Butts and Lisa Coleman, both of Jonesville; five sons, David Miller, Ray Miller, and Tommy Miller, all of Jonesville; Johnny Miller of Vidalia and Terry Miller of Rhinehart; thre brothers, Albert Bud Miller and Frank Miller, both of Jonesville, and Phillip Miller of Oakwoods, Texas; one sister, Marie Windham of Jena. Pallbearers were Ethan Butts, Kris Coleman, Billy Miller, Bobby Miller, Brock Miller, Robert Miller, Jeremy Posey, and Jerry Price.
