M. Milam, 72, one of the most prominent business men of Winn Parish and founder of W. M. Milam and Son, died suddenly at his home in Winnfield Saturday. Mr. Milam was eating dinner when he suffered a heart attack and succumbed in a short time. The deceased was the head of several large retail stores in this section of the state, as well as the Milam Department Store and the Milam Wholesale Grocery Company of that city. He is survived by a son, Matt Milam of Winnfield, and a daughter, Mrs. J. B. Stothart, also of Winnfield; two grandchildren, Matt Milam, Jr., and Helen Lois Milam.
