Johnnie Rodolph McBroom, 84, of Urania, died Monday, March 26, 1996 at the 
Hardtner Medical Center in Urania following a brief illness.

He was born August 20, 1911 in LaSalle Parish to the union of John R. and 
Sarah Jane Davis McBroom. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired sawmill 
worker and a member of the Pinehill Baptist Church.  

Services were held at 10 am Wednesday, March 27 at Pinehill Baptist Church in 
Urania with the Revs. Ed Smith and Harold Danley officiating.

Interment followed in the Pinehill Cemetery under the direction of Riser and 
Son Funeral Home of Olla.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Eva McBroom of Urania; one son, Rev. 
Denver McBroom of Olla; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight 
great-grandchildren.
