Lake Providence (Special) - Funeral services for J. Monroe McBroom Sr, 74, of 
Lake Providence were scheduled for 2pm today at Riser and Son Funeral Home at 
Columbia with the Revs. E. W. Cauthron and Elmer Douglas officiating.

Burial was slated in Pine Hill Cemetery near Olla.

Mr McBroom died at a local hospital Wednesday after a long illness.

He was a native of LaSalle Parish.

Survivors include four sons: Capt Adrian McBroom of the US Army, C.M. McBroom 
of West Monroe, Billy Gene McBroom of Monroe and Monroe McBroom, Jr of 
Shreveport; a brother John McBroom of Urania, and two sisters, Mrs Andrew 
Davis of Olla and Mrs Jessie Powell of Kelly.
