Father Of Trout Woman Succumbs

Funeral service for Charlie Lee McCain, 78, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday
at Center Hill Baptist church near Linden, Texas. The Rev. Oral Wisinger
officiated with burial in Center Hill cemetery. He was the father of Mrs.
Clara Mae Rogers of Trout.

Mr. McCain died Sunday night after suffering a heart attack in church.

Other survivors include his widow: two sons. Oval McCain of Odessa, Texas and
J.L. McCain of Lockport, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Linnie Roberson of Bivins,
Texas, Mrs. Alta Ross and Mrs. Leona Casey of Marshall, Texas and Mrs. Vaadie
Pophan of Odessa, Texas; one brother, R.M. McCain of Rodessa; one step-son,
J.A. Ellis of Syracuse, N.Y.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Ellison and
Mrs. Mary Nell Tarnowski of Alamagorda, N.M. and Mrs. Helen D. Arensbourg of
New Orleans; nine step-grandchildren; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-
grandchildren.
