G. Dyes and E. P. Bringol officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. McCartney died Monday at Columbia Hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was a retired oil field laborer and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jewell D. McCartney of Olla; one son, Jimmy L. McCartney of London, England; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Newson and Mrs. Pearl Fritz, both of Olla; two brothers, Luke McCartney of Olla and Jack McCartney of Cutoff; and two grandchildren.
