B. Spinks officiating. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena under arrangements by Hixson Brothers of Jena. Mrs. McClure, mother of several local residents, died Christmas Day at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mildred Lott of Trout. Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lott of Trout; Mrs. Lena Bell of Jena; Mrs. Estell Barton of Mansfield; Mrs. Rena Butter of Pucsuh, Kentucky; Mrs. Julia Miller of McCalls Creek, Miss.; Mrs. Loretta Wilson, and Mrs. Rose Young, both of Jonesville and Mrs. Myrtle Ersmeinger of Wisner; eight sons, Samuel Roy McClure of the U. S. Army in Germany; Juan McClure, Douglas McClure and Clifford McClure, all of Jonesville; Abner McClure of the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Kansas; Fred McClure, Bill McClure and Ed McClure, all of Jena; three brothers, Coney Spinks and W. B. Spinks, both of Jonesville; and Rev. S. B. Spinks of Jena; seven sisters, Mrs. Janie Finley and Mrs. Rena Crosh, both of Eva; Mrs. Lena Netherland of Jonesville, Mrs. Colla Keringer and Mrs. Bessie Stampley, both of Wisner; Mrs. Rosie Oliver of Bastrop; and Mrs. Lotile Cayle of St. Joseph; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Don McClure, Wesley McClure, Herman Spinks, Sonny Spinks, Blondie Moore, and J. D. Chevallier.
