W. McLendon, 92 Funeral services for Lewis William McLendon, 92, who passed away at his home on Route 1, Olla, at 9 a.m. Monday, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Summerville Baptist Church with the Reverends T. J. Allbritton, Hugh Tarpley and J. G. Norris officiating. Interment was in the Squyres Cemetery near Summerville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. McLendon, a farmer by occupation, was a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish. He was born on July 29, 1859. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Martha Poole and Mrs. Hester Zeagler, both of Route 1, Olla. Pallbearers at the funeral were R. L. McLendon, Moses McLendon, Curtis McLendon, Marion McLendon, Jimmy McLendon and Robert McLendon.
