The procession left the family residence, 1820 Second Street, Alexandria, at 8 a.m., and went to Squyres Cemetery, near Summerville, where services were held at 10 o'clock. Interment followed there. The boy is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Grover L. McGregory, Alexandria. He was injured on Tuesday, July 30, when the truck in which he was riding, driven by his mother, plunged into a ditch o the highway near Fishville. Samuel A. Oden, aged 60, died that morning of injuries he received in the accident. The boy was taken to the Baptist Hospital at Alexandria, where he stayed for three days before being removed to his home where he expired. At the time of the accident, Mrs. McGregory said she apparently had a heart attack as everything went black. When she recovered, the truck was in the ditch. The funeral was under the arrangement of the Reeves Funeral Home and Rev. Fate Cupples conducted the services.
