J. McNeely 82 years, 1 month and 8 days old, father of Mr. R. S. McNeely, well known resident of Jena, died at his home in Colfax Monday evening at 4:40 February 9, after a lingering illness. Interment was made in the Colfax cemetery Wednesday at 2:00 with Rev. N. H. Admas of Montgomery officiating. Mr. McNeely was a life long resident of Colfax, member of the Pentecostal Church and had many friends who mourn his passing. Surviving are: Mrs. W. J. McNeely, wife; Three sons, R. S. McNeely, Jena; Mr H. M. and W. J. J. McNeely, Colfax; Mrs. R. F. Garrett, Colfax; Mrs. T. C. Hasner, Montgomery: Miss Jessie McNeely, Montgomery: Mrs. H. B. Ozment, Star City, Ark.: Mrs. Frank Wilson, Urainia. Friends of Jena extend their deepest synpathy to the bereaved family.
