McCollum Dies at His Home Near Trout Saturday George Elihugh McCollum, 76, who died at his home near Trout Saturday afternoon about 5 o'clock, was buried Sunday afternoon following services held at the Trout Baptist Church. The Revs. Eulos Coleman and Harvey Smith conducted the final rites with interment following in the Chalk Hill Cemetery near Little Creek. Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. McCollum is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hettie McCollum of Route 1, Trout; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Stutson of Sicily Island, Mrs. Lena Jones of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Brazie Mathews of Ferriday; two sons, C. L. of Ferriday and A. E. of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers for the final rites were Leo Ezell, Marion Clary, Everett Cooper, Ben Kyle, Genie Cockerham, and Dewey Flowers.
