Mr. Felder F. "Pop" Neal 

    URANIA, LA -  Funeral services for Mr. Felder F. "Pop" Neal, 82, of 
Urania, was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2000, in the Olla Riser 
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Lofton and Reginal Wallace officiating. 
Interment followed at the Pine Hill Cemetery near Urania. 

   Mr. Neal, a retired boiler room operator for Louisiana Pacific, was born 
in Verda on September 1, 1917 to the union of the late Christopher and Rosie 
Cupp Neal. He died at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania on January 4, 
2000, at 1 PM.

   He was preceded in death by two brothers, Huey Neal and Ancel Neal; 
one sister, Carmen Gorman; and his son, Ford Christopher Neal. 

   Survivors include two daughters, Frances and husband, R. C. Chandler 
of  Shreveport  and  Mary  Lou  Finley and fiance, Mackey Etheridge of  Olla, 
and his best friend and his children's mother, Marie Neal Dunn of  Olla; one 
daughter- in- law, Nancy  Neal of  Urania; two sisters, Ruby Lofton of Many, 
and  Onie Mae Schneider of  Pineville; eight grandchildren; Gaye Whiddon 
Davis of Ashdown, Ark., Joy  Whiddon Cales of Maxwell, Ind., Kim Whiddon 
Jones and James B.Whiddon, Jr. both of Shreveport, La., Jeffrey Finley of 
Olla,  Denny Finley of  Sarepta, La., David  Romero Neal, and Michael Lee 
both of Urania and six great-grandchildren, Ricky and Amanda Davis, Katie and 
Lyndsey Cales, Samuel Whiddon and Jeffrey Finley, Jr. Pallbearers were the 
five grandsons and great-grandson, Ricky Davis. 

   Visitation was held at the funeral home in Olla on Thursday from 9 a.m. 
until the time of service.
