Nason is Called by Death at Home on Saturday Funeral services were held at the family home in Jena on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock for George M. Nason, 69, whose untimely death occurred at 1;30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment followed in the Nolly Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinner & Stevens, local undertakers. Rev. Hemphill officiated and the services were at the home. Mr. Nason had been a resident of this community for thirty years coming here from Kosciuska, Mississippi. He operated a blacksmith shop for many years and was beloved by all who knew him. He had been in ill health for some time and, while his death was not unexpected, it comes as a distinct shock to the people of this community. The deceased is survived by his wife, four daughters and three sons as follows: Mrs. Bill Basco, Jena; Mrs. Wm. Hopkins, Jena; Mrs. Henry Prins, Wisner; Mrs. A. C. Norris, Columbus Junction, Iowa; W. N. Nason, Bossier City; C. V. Nason, Kansas City, Mo.; and N. Newell Nason, editor of The Catahoula News at Harrisonburg.
