He was retired from the Louisiana Highway Department and was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were held March 23, 1975, at 2:30 p.m. at Georgetown Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Matthews officiating. Burial followed at Starks Cemetery of Georgetown with arrangements by Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Norris of Georgetown; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hayes and Mrs. Joyce Russo, both of Baton Rouge; 3 sons, Dorman Norris of Gorum, Huey Norris of Georgetown and Gerald Norris of Deville; 1 brother, Oliver Norris of Brazona, Texas; and 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Perkins of Orange, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
