Headline:  Area Deaths

Shirley Bradford Nichols, 52, of the Belah Community, died at 12:45 p.m., 
Saturday, January 8, 2000, at Shumpert-Highland Hospital in Shreveport.

She was manager for Modern Woodmen of American Insurance Company and member 
of the Good Pine Baptist Church.

She was born March 3, 1947, to the union of Wannie Leon and Arey Chevallier 
Bradford.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 10, at the Pine Grove Baptist 
Church with the Revs. Joel Johnson and Preston Holder officiating.

Interment followed at the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of 
Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include two daughters, Stacye Erwin of Walters and Jennifer Nichols 
of Jena; one son, Brad Nichols of Jena; her mother, Lucille Bradford of Jena; 
one brother, Mike Bradford of Jena; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Emerson Sharp, Derek Gordon, Justin Cooper, Jim Loe, Todd 
Windham, Allen Craig, Mike Walker, and Olin Young.

Honorary pallbearers were Hayden Ainsworth and Scott Gordon.
