Sub-Headline:  Gerald B. Nugent

Gerald Baxter Nugent, 65, of Urania, died Monday, September 6, 1999, in 
Hardtner Medical Center of Urania.

He was a retired offshore maintenance operator and also a retired millwright 
from Louisiana-Pacific Corporation.  He was a member of Urania Baptist Church.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, in the chapel of Riser 
Funeral Home of Olla with the Revs. Ron Bray and John Norwood officiating.

Interment followed in the Urania Cemetery under the direction of Riser 
Funeral Home of Olla.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Aline Robinson Nugent of Urania; 
three sons, Gerald Nugent, Jr., of Ruston, Paul Nugent of Jonesboro, and 
Matthew Nugent of Urania; two daughters, Kathy Roberts of Olla and Carol 
Nugent of Pearland, Texas; two brothers, Wesley Nugent of Silsbee, Texas, and 
Rodney Nugent of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Bronis Esters of Jena; and 11 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Allbritton, Bart Meredith, Kurt Boyd, Kyle Boyd, 
Michael Lee McDaniel, and Shane McDaniel.
