He was a farmer. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home in Jena, with the revs. Claude Terral and Mike Poole, officiating. Burial was in the Siloam cemetery of Aimwell under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Netherland of Jena; one son, Herman Netherland of Jena; one daughter, Joyce Posey of Aimwell; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Cotten, Jim Smith II, Lum Myles, J.T. Ashley, Jerry Chapman and Doc Eubanks.
