He was a retired farmer. Funeral services were conducted today (Thurs.) at 10;30 am from the Poole Bend Pentecostal Church near Jonesville with the Rev. B. B. Maples, the Rev. E. M. Hooter, the Rev. J. T. Mayo, the Rev. Bill McLain and the Rev J. T. Massey officiating. Burial followed in Wilbanks Cemetery near Summerville under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include Mr. Poole's widow, Mrs. Alice Masters Poole; five daughters, Mrs. H. P. Brooks, Mrs. B. M. Parker, Mrs. B. B. Parker, Mrs. Tommy Hardie and Mrs. B. T. Borden, all of Jonesville; three brothers, T. J. Poole of Jonesville, A. D. Poole and V. L. Poole, both of Jena; three sisters, Mrs. John Reed and Mrs. Lee Duke of Jena and Mrs. V. L. Wilson of Jonesville; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Belvy Parker, Clint Hardie, Alvin Parker, H. P. Brooks, Billy Brooks, and Claud Hardie.
