Mrs. Mattie Mae Pilcher, 54, of Tullos, died at 3;30 am Tuesday, May 2, 1967, at Columbia Heights Hospital in Columbia. Mrs. Pilcher was a widow. She was buried at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 3rd, following services in Tullos, First Baptist Church. The Revs. Coda Salter and Ed Dearmon (sp?) officiated at the rites. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery near Pineville, with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena. Graveside services were held by the ministers. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Jean Nelson Shreveport; one son, James of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, John P. Brown of Shreveport; and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bob Cassel, Sam Evans, Marshall Gates, C. D. Harter, Jimmy Barton, C. S. Wiggins, Fritz Sagdahl.
