Parker Dies Nov. 24; Injured by Falling Timber Bennie Earl Parker, 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin A. Parker, of Lorto, died on Thursday, November 24, in the Ferriday Hospital, from an injury sustained about ten days prior by being struck by a falling limb while engaged in cutting timber in the Larto swamps. Young Parker was unmarried and resided with his parents. Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers and two sisters. They are: A. V., Zoyle, and Claude, and Misses Marie and Grace Parker, all of Lorto. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. McVey, of Jonesville, with interment in the Nichols Cemetery under the directions of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, of Jena. The many friends of the family deeply sympathize with them during their bereavement.
