Headline:  Mrs. Pentecost is Buried at Forsythe Friday Afternoon

Funeral services were held at the Forsythe Cemetery for Mrs. Emily Pentecost, 
86, widow of the late J. G. Pentecost.  Interment followed in the Forsythe 
Cemetery.

Mrs. Pentecost suffered a fall a few weeks ago which confined her to her bed 
and it is thought that she contracted pneumonia, her death resulting Thursday 
afternoon at 4;30 o'clock.  She had been a resident of this section for 
several years and was one of the few surviving widows of Confederate Veterans 
in LaSalle Parish.

Surviving the deceased are the following children:  Edward G. Truman, Robert, 
Fred, Henry and John Pentecost; Mrs. Alice Hanner, Mrs. A. R. Simmons, and 
Mrs. Lilly Whitten.  A score of other relatives are also left to mourn her 
passing.
