Headline:  Pioneer Citizen is Laid to Rest Near Jena, September 29

Funeral services were held at the family cemetery near Routon at 10:30 am 
September 29th, for Mrs. Martha Eliza Collins Pritchard, age 90 years, 2 
months, and 6 days, who passed away on Thursday morning, September 27, 1933.

She was born in Catahoula Parish July 21, 1843, the daughter of Moses and 
Betsy Stockman Collins, pioneer residents of this section.  On July 25, 1866, 
she was married to Thomas E. Pritchard who preceeded her to the grave, 
thirty-two years ago.  To this union seven children were born.  Four preceded 
her to the grave.  Three survive her, John M. Pritchard, Susie Paul of Jena, 
and Elizabeth Franklin of El Paso.  Also, seventeen grandchildren and ten 
great-grandchildren survive her.

Interment was made at Routon with Rev. L. D. Posey officiating.
