Headline:  Wilson Prudhomme, Manifest Postmaster, Dies in Jonesville

Wilson Bueche Prudhomme, 71, of Manifest, dies Monday at 12:15 a. m. in a 
Jonesville hospital.  He served as postmaster at Manifest for approximately 
five years.  He was appointed to the position following his wife's 
retirement.  She had served for over 30 years as postmaster.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p. m. in the Manifest Baptist 
Church with the Rev. J. O. McNair officiating.  Burial was in Heard Cemetery 
near Manifest under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include a son, Clarence Prudhomme, Sr., of Manifest; one brother, 
Webster Prudhomme of Jonesville; and two grandchildren.
