Jeff Bean officiating. Burial was in the Harrsionburg Cemetery under arrangements by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his widow, Ernestine Young Peyton of Utility; two sons, E. Y. Peyton of Jonesville and Joe W. Peyton of Shreveport; two brothers, L. D. Peyton of Bentonia, Mississippi, and J. D. Peyton of Winnsboro; a sister, Mrs. Sam Duke of Jackson, Miss.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
