He was in the logging and pulpwood business. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Whitehall United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bruce G. Owens, officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart, under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his widow, Nora McFall Pippins of Rhinehart; seven daughters, Mrs. Cecil Currington and Mrs. Clara Belle Brown, both of Jena; Mrs. Cleo Carroll, Mrs. Hattie Sharp and Mrs. Gracie Sharp of Rhinehart; three sons, F. W. Pippins Jr., of Rhinehart, Eugene Pippins, Jim Pippins, Monroe Pippins and W. H. Pippins, all of Winnsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Callie Lively and Mrs. Ethel Givens, both of Winnsboro and Mrs. Saide Lively and Mrs. Willie Mae Netherland, both of Monroe; 52 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
