She was a housewife and member of the Searcy Baptist Church. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Searcy Baptist Church with Revs. Joe Cannon, Aaron Erwin, and Milton McManus, officiating. Burial followed at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery near Summerville with arrangements by Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Welch of Spearman, Texas; a son, E. R. "Buddy" Paul of Jena; a brother, Burl Cotten of Many; two sisters, Mattie Whatley of Searcy and Agnus Tony of Alexandria; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were A. D. Erwin, Burl Cotton, Herman Cotton, C. R. Cockerham, Lawson Stringer and Joe Jones.
