The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday in the Wright-Ferguson Funeral Home of Jackson, Miss., with burial in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Cleo Brooks Posey of Jackson, Miss.; one son, Franz A. Posey of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and three grandchildren; three brothers, C. L. Posey of Olla, C. E. Posey of Arcadia and Dr. Shelton Posey of Riverside, Calif. Mr. Posey was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. L. D. Posey, natives of Mississippi, but well known in Louisiana where he was pastor of several prominent Baptist churches, one of which was the First Baptist Church of Jena and another, the First Baptist Church of Winnfield.
