R. Russell Home Mrs. Ella Parker, 78 years old, died at 4 p.m., Jan. 3, 1944, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. R. Russell in Jena. The cause of her death was given as heart trouble. Services were held January 4, at 2 p.m., at Rosefield, La., with Rev. A. L. Russell of Jena officiating. Burial was in the Rosefield Cemetery. Mrs. Parker was born in Caldwell Parish May 7, 1855. She was a lifelong resident of Jena. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church at Aimwell. Surviving Mrs. Parker are three daughters: Mrs. G. R. Russell and Mrs. George Kendrix, both of Jena, and Mrs. L. C. Bush of Colfax, La.; two sons, W. L. Parker of Minden, La., and J. A. Parker of Arp, Texas, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home were in charge of funeral arrangements.
