Peavy, 68, Is Buried Wednesday Hardy Columbus Peavy, 68, who died at his home early Tuesday morning, was buried Wednesday afternoon following services held at the Belah Methodist Church. Mr. Peavy, a retired logger, had been in poor health for some time and had recently returned home from a stay in the hospital. He had been a resident of Trout, Route 1, since 1928. The Revs. S. B. Spinks, A. N. Baum, G. A. Pritchard, and C. T. Breeden, Jr., conducted the final rites, with interment in the Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. Peavey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Peavy; one daughter, Miss Barbara Peavy; four sons, Aaron, Ira, Welby, and Leo, all of Trout, Route 1; three sisters, Mrs. Tave Lofton of Tioga, Mrs. Dean Whatley of Dry Prong and Mrs. Deal Humphries of West Monroe, and six grandchildren. Graveside rites were conducted by the Revs. Spinks and Breeden. Pallbearers were Dr. A. O. Windham, Finley Rosier, Paul Tarpley, Ted Boyett, Orbin Baum, and Loys Angles.
