She was a homemaker. Services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 14, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Huey Tarpley and Mickey Hudnall officiating. Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Duke of Baytown, Texas; one son, Jerry Paul of Saudi Arabia; two sisters, Daisy Starnes and Peggy Benson, both of Jena; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Andy Paul, Jonathan Paul, Jason Paul, John Duke, Dan Grissom, with Bill Benson serving as an honorary pallbearer.
