HEADLINE: Ruth Doughty Paul

Ruth Doughty Paul, 67, of Jena, died at 11:51 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2002,
at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was retired from the Louisiana Department of Social Services and a member
Of Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church of Jena.

Mrs. Paul was born December 30, 1934, at Jena to the union of her parents, 
Thomas Jason and Addie Roberts Doughty. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Aubrey Paul.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 29, at the chapel of Kinner
and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Mark Benge officiating.

Interment followed in Nolley Memorial Cemetery of Jena under the direction of
Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhoda Sanders and husband Steve, of Jena; one
son, Tommy Paul and wife Cindy of Shreveport; one sister, Beth Nugent and husband Joe of Jena; and four grandchildren, Skipper Sanders and wife Svea of Farmerville, Jay Sanders and wife Khristi of Jena and Jenny Paul and Clint Paul both of Shreveport.

Pallbearers were Skipper Sanders, Jay Sanders, Clint Paul, Jimmy Nugent, Brad
O'Quinn, and Danny Bordelon.
