Although Miss Roberts had been in ill health for some time, her death came as a distinct shock and saddened her many friends in LaSalle parish, where she was born and spent her entire lifetime. Miss Roberts made many friends while a member of the Olla-Standard high and Tullos Junior high schools, where she taught for several years. Fueneral services were held September 5, at Jena at 10 a.m. with Rev. D.F. Sanders of Rayne officiating. Interment took place at the Jena cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home. Surviving are : Mrs. H.D. Roberts, mother; Ella Lena Roberts, Etta Mae Roberts and Mrs. T.J. Doughty sisters; Percy and H.D. Roberts, Jr., brothers.
