Mrs. Richardson passed away at 2:15 a. m. from the effects of pneumonia. The deceased was born at Rhinehart on May 18, 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dale. She attended the Jena High School, later entering training at what is now known as the Chamberlain-Rice Hospital in Natchez. She did post graduate work at Peabody College in Nashville. Her first husband, Albert Hopkins, preceded her in death in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1924. To this union was born two daughters Misses Katherine Dale Hopkins, as student at Louisiana State University, and Anna Lee Hopkins, a student in Jena High School. In 1926, Mrs. Hopkins became the wife of W. W. Richardson in Little Rock and 1927 she returned to Rhinehart where the family has resided since. Her services as a nurse have been at the disposal of the people of this section ever since and she was probably better known and more beloved in more homes than any woman in this section. In 1922, she was drafted by the Red Cross as health unit nurse during the eventful high water and served faithfully in that capacity. Her husband, Mr. Richardson, and a stepdaughter, Elva Richardson of Shreveport, with the two daughters mentioned above survive her. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. W. W. Haas of Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Richardson was laid to rest in the family cemetery at White Hall on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after funeral services had been held at the family home. Rev. D. F. Anders, her pastor, officiated and the funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kinner & Stevens, local undertakers
