Headline:  Deaths, Mrs. Meddie Holmes Reeves

Mrs. Meddie Holmes Reeves, 49, died at the Pineville Hospital January 8.  She 
has been a resident of this community nearly all her life, but was born in 
Hope, Ark.

Funeral services were held January 9 at the Beech Creek Church at 2:00 pm 
with Rev. Fletcher Hart of Tullos officiating.  Interment was held at Beech 
Creek Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home of Olla.

She is survived by her husband, John Reeves of Olla, four daughters, Mrs. 
Johnny Cassels of Rosefield; Mrs. J. E. Adams of Tallulah; Miss Roberta 
Holmes and Miss Eunice Holmes, both of Kelly, two sons, Louis Holmes and 
Alfred Holmes, both of Kelly, and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Jack Waggoner of 
Kelly; Mrs. Oliver Cassels of Rosefield, and Miss Lola Holmes of Oakland, 
California.
