(Buddy) Ruddell, 68, of Olla, died Saturday morning at the Golden Age Nursing Home of Jena after a long illness. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. Larry Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Olla Cemetery with full Masonic graveside rites. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beulah Parham Ruddell of Olla; three sons, James A. Ruddell of Columbia, Jessee Ray Ruddell and Johnny Ruddell, both of Olla; two daughters, Mrs. Janie Whitson of Paradise, Calif., and Mrs. Polly Nichols of Urania; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
