Russell, 65, who died at his home Wednesday afternoon of a heart attack. Services were under the direction of Riser and Sons Funeral Home of Columbia, with the Rev. Carvelia Johnson and the Rev. William Tweety officiating. Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery near Tullos. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma Bass Russell, Kelly; one daughter, Mrs. Lillie McDonald, Monroe; three sons, Willard Russell, DeQuincy, K. R. Russell, Kelly and Ezra Russell, Winnsboro; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Holmes, Jena; Mrs. Emily Cook, Urania; Mrs. Lucy Pendaris, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Mae McMillan, Sulphur; two brothers, William Pen Russell and Lee Russell, both of Olla; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
