From The Jena Times - Olla Tullos Signal DATE: Wednesday, November 7, 2001 Page: 13A Headline: Area Deaths Aubrey Pierce Ray Aubrey Pierce Ray, 54, of Walters, died Thursday, November 1, 2001, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. He was a cook in the oil field industry, and was born Feb. 25, 1947, at Alexandria to the union of Aubrey Calvin and Pearl Myers Ray. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at Mt. Herman Baptist Church at Walters with Rev. Terry Doughty officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Ruby under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his father, Aubrey Calvin Ray of Alexandria; and two sisters, Helen Chandler of Birmingham, Ala., and Anne Mahfouz of Alexandria. Pallbearers were Ted Mahfouz, Donlad Chandler, Vince Shipman, Barry Shipman, Wendel Birkicht, and Ducie Ducote. Honorary pallbearers were Chance Birkicht and Toby McClure.
