Sub-Headline:  Ophelia A. Revett

Ophelia A. Revett, 75, of Purvis, Mississippi, died at 9:10 p.m., Monday, 
August 30, 1999, at the St. Frances Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was a homemaker and was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Lamar County, Mississippi, 
to the union of Eli and Nelli Grantham Whiddon.  

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2, at the chapel of Moore 
Funeral Home in Petal, Ms., with Rev. C. R. Williams officiating.

Burial followed in Burch Cemetery of Richton, Ms., under direction of Moore 
Funeral Home.  Local arrangements were under direction of Kinner and Stevens 
Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include four sons, David C. Whiddon, Sr., of Jena, Donald Revett of 
Richton, Ms.; Gregory Revett of Purvis, Ms.; and Gary Revett of Purvis, Ms.; 
two brothers, Lester Whiddon and Olen Whiddon, both of Lamar County, Ms.; 12 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
