He was a brother of two LaSalle Parish residents. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Fellowship Baptist Church near Columbia with the Revs. A. B. Douglas and A. A. Calhoun officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Mae Richmond of Columbia; a son, Louis A. Richmond of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Lataple and Mrs. Carolyn Escalon, both of Columbia; five brothers, Jessie Richmond, Charles Richmond, Jim Richmond, and Floyd Richmond, all of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Poole and Mrs. Dorothy Thomas, both of Jena; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mickey Lott, C. H. Boyd, Morris Richmond, Danny Finley, W. O. Poole and Jimmy Richmond.
