Pioneer Lady Dies At Home in Jena on Last Friday Morning

One of Jena's pioneer citizens was called by death at her home in Jena at 4
a.m. last Friday when Miss Mary Ellen Sandiferd 69 years old, passed away
after a long illness.

Miss Sandifered had spent her entire life in this section. She was a member of
the Baptist church and had many friends in all denominations who join with the
family in mourning her passing.

She is survived by her father, John Sandifered and one brother, Dewitt
Sandifered of Jena. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Cora Johnson of Walters.
