The Jena Times, April 27, 1918

Herman Shuman, a native of Germany, who immigrated to this country during his 
boyhood days, and who has lived here for the past twenty-five years, died 
suddently at his home some two miles of Olla last Sunday a week ago.  He 
leaves a wide and two sons, Willie and Leonard. 

(name also spelt SCHUMAN. He married Elizabeth MCBROOM, daughter of William 
Jackson MCBROOM and Nancy J. WAITES, on 12 Jan 1893, Caldwell Parish LA.)
