Funeral Services Held At Pine Grove For Rowan M. Smith

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 11, for Rowan M. Smith, aged 82
years, by Rev. R.L. Brooks, pastor of the Pine Grove church, interment being
made in the Pine Grove cemetery.

Mr. Smith had been an invalid several years, and the exact cause of his death
had not been determined. He was a member of the Baptist church at Pine Grove,
having joined in 1876. He was married to Miss Mary S. Algood in December 17,
1868, to which union was born ten children. His wife proceded him to the grave
several years ago.

Surviving are Lucius Smith, Florence Smith, Mrs. G.E. Clark, Miss Nannie
Smith, Mrs. W.S. Randall, James A. Smith, Mrs. C.A. Doughty, Grover C. Smith,
Mrs. G W. Garland and Mrs. J.W. Smith.
