Shields, Editor of Leesville Leader, Dies of Pneumonia Leesville, La., March 11 - Belmont L. Shields, owner of the Leesville Leader, died of penumonia at his home today at 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements have not been announced. Mr Shields was a World War veteran and a member of the American Legon, Droddy-Cain, Post 145, Leesville. He founded the Leesville Leader 13 years ago upon returning from the World War and for several years published the Wampus Cat, a sensational magazine, which at one time had an enourmous circulation. He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Miss Tootsie Shields, of Dallas, Texas.
